Three Tablescape Ideas For Spring

Three Tablescape Ideas For Spring

While it sometimes seems like the gray days of winter will never end, Spring has finally sprung! And with that comes the desire to leave those hunker down days behind, and wanting to host friends and family as much as possible. And, while refreshing the home is a huge part of emerging from the doldrum days of seasons passed, bringing pops of color and style to the dining room table is another way to indulge in a bit more Spring!

Pastels

Gingahm Checks

While pastels are always appropriate, there is something that makes them extra appropriate in the Springtime. If one is looking for a solid style tablescape, Classic Hemstitch’s newest color, Sky Blue, or Lilac from the same collection are two options to set the tone. However, if you’re upping the ante on creating a tablescape full of texture and whimsy, look to gingham to make that statement. Gingham comes in all of the perfect colors for Spring, including Mashmellow Pink, Hydrangea Blue, Blue Bell, Celadon, Marigold Yellow and Sunny Orange. Stick with all one color; combine the pattern with solid looks; or mix and match the bright gingham styles for a table design that will make everyone smile— especially the Easter Bunny.

Gold + Earth Tones

Festive Edge Natural and White

Looking for a sophisticated take on Spring tablescapes? Look no further than adding a touch of gold to your earth-toned table. Greens, browns, terra-cotta and other hues that reflect the colors of mountains and forests create a sense of calm and serenity that many crave. Layer up table linens in white, cream and flax with chargers and plates in salmon and brown colorways, or bring in several shades of green, bringing the wonder of the outdoors to the dining room. Add in rattan goods for an extra bit of flair. However, just because it’s earth-inspired, doesn’t mean it has to be monotone. Bring a bit of elegance to the mix with gold touches, like flatware, gold-rimmed glasses, or vases. Gold keeps the color palette neutral, while bringing in touches of the gilded age and, of course, makes guests feel extra luxurious.

Florals Everywhere

Peonies

Florals for Spring may not be groundbreaking, but the style is celebratory of the season! Whether picking out table linens adored with floral patterns or going over-the-top with stunning floral centerpieces, the colors and scents of Spring should be enjoyed. Go big and bold with a floral pattern like Peony, bringing in dishes and accents for upscale or casual dining events. Or, look for something more demur and soft, like Jolie Fleur. While the florals should be the star of the show, there are ways to create unique touches. For example, add in vintage-style colored glassware for some festive fun; or create playfulness with colorful candles in different heights.
